As a user of PhoneGap and an interested party in LiquidGear/Big5, I applaud all of these projects in their attempts to achieve hybrid application development.
However, when one framework lists out features, claiming that it can do more than the other frameworks, something doesn't sit right. If this list were compiled by a 3rd party, it might be easier to digest.
Why does there appear to be more momentum behind PhoneGap than LiquidGear? Why do people choose PhoneGap over LiquidGear if the latter does more than the former?
I think it's perfectly fine to "compete" as long as in good faith and taste.
LG is the youngest of the three projects. Cannot explain why some projects grow faster than others. Just the approach of each.
All the projects have their own flavors, LG is focused exclusively on the iPhone, at least at this point. PhoneGap was the first (which is why they have the largest support group) and spreads itself wider, including other SDKs such as Android. Big5 has put out a Lite version for smaller apps.
I, personally, love viewing comparison charts to allow me to make the best decision for my project. Yes, it is always better to have one from a third party. If there is one out there, it will definitely be linked on the site as well.

How hard is an HREF... really?
